Out of Hours and Emergencies

Ledbury Health Partnership is covered by an out of hours service between the hours of 6:30pm and 8am, and at weekends. If you need urgent healthcare advice or treatment during these hours please telephone NHS 111, or access 111 online, who will direct you to the most appropriate service. Please use the online option in the first instance whenever possible.

111 is the NHS non-emergency number. It’s fast, easy and free. Call 111 and speak to a highly trained adviser, supported by healthcare professionals. They will ask you a series of questions to assess your symptoms and immediately direct you to the best medical care for you.

NHS 111 is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Calls are free from landlines and mobile phones.

In case of a life-threatening emergency, please dial 999.

Parking

There is very limited on-site parking at the practice, and we are unable to guarantee a parking spot for appointments.

There are two pay-and-display car parks nearby (off of Bye Street), as well as street parking in the area.

We do have two blue badge spaces available in front of St Katherine’s surgery.

Call Recording

Incoming and outgoing calls to the surgery are recorded. All recordings are stored securely and are subject to the same data protection policies as other confidential personal information held at the practice. Calls are recorded in order to:

• Identify practice staff training needs.

• Protect practice staff from nuisance or abusive calls.

• Establish facts relating to incoming/outgoing calls made.

• Identify any issues in practice processes with a view to improving them.

Non-urgent advice: Extended Access

Our practice is part of the Herefordshire GP Federation, Taurus Healthcare. Together, the practices of Herefordshire and Tenbury work to provide 24/7 access to General Practice. This is offered routinely via the Practice or at Improved Access hubs and urgently via 111 (please use the online 111 option in the first instance whenever possible). We all use the same computer system, so with our permission, it means the professional you speak with can see your whole record and understand your history.

Taurus Healthcare operates six Improved Access Hubs on behalf of Herefordshire General Practice. These can be found at:
South Wyre Medical Centre (Hereford)
The Marches (Leominster)
Pendeen Surgery (Ross-on-Wye)
Kington Medical Practice
Ledbury Health Partnership
Nunwell Surgery (Bromyard)

Opening times vary. For more information please visit the Taurus Healthcare website. Please note that these are not walk-in centres and you will need to make an appointment. To do so, please ask our reception staff for a ‘Taurus Extended Hours Appointment’.
